Called by Grace: My Journey to Sai Baba in Scotland

by Lidija Grabar

This blog is written out of love for Sai Baba and an inner guidance to share this experience, because it is very important to share beautiful and truthful experiences, whether they are related to Mohanji or Sai Baba. In this way, we become more deeply connected with them, and the most beautiful thing we receive is blessings, especially when something is written with deep sincerity and faith, through the grace of the Tradition.

Ever since the Mohanji Centre of Benevolence in Scotland was established—a sacred space that is also Mohanji’s home—I immediately felt a strong desire to visit Sai Baba there. I felt an inner calling, and at times I would even cry from the immense love and longing to see Baba in Scotland.

I connected with Sai Baba from the moment I met Mohanji. It happened very spontaneously and naturally, in a way that made me feel motherly love and tenderness. That feeling is beyond words. Also, when I heard that reading the Sai Satcharitra brings immense blessings, I began reading it, and truly, blessings, guidance, and a deeper connection started unfolding in my life. Sai Baba even fulfilled some of my wishes, because he knows how important certain things are for my happiness.

My desire to visit the temple in Scotland was especially strong on the day Mohanji was in Slovenia. I remember expressing my wish to my friend Eni to go in Mohanji’s presence. She enthusiastically embraced the idea and suggested that we go for the New Year.

Since I am afraid of travelling alone by plane and felt that I would not manage well on my own, especially because it was my first journey of that kind, I want to thank Eni for being such a strong support for me. She helped me break through that fear, experience what travelling is like, and face the challenges that arise along the way. There were so many obstacles that, at one point, we even thought we might have to return home. But Sai Baba wanted us to go through a test of faith and arrive despite the difficult weather and all the obstacles along the way.

I would like to testify that Sai Baba in Scotland is full of abundance, and that everyone who comes there receives far more than they could ever imagine.

After returning home, Sai Baba blessed me greatly in my work and with my clients, which is extremely important to me because it relates to my livelihood and sense of security. I also noticed changes in my children and my parents after I returned home. Certain miracles occurred as signs of his love for me.

Another very powerful experience was that Sai Baba freed me from a long-term toxic relationship that I had been trying to heal for a long time. It seemed the moment had finally come in Scotland for Sai Baba to completely cleanse that relationship, so both sides could find peace.

During my stay at the centre, that person somehow seemed to sense that something was changing. He constantly bombarded me with messages and promises, trying to convince me to continue seeing him. But I felt Sai Baba’s guidance and the strength he gave me to lovingly recognise that his behaviour was manipulative and full of empty promises, intended only to satisfy his ego and the karmic patterns between us from past lives.

I felt guided to place him in Baba’s lap every day during the arati and to bless him with the intention that Sai Baba would guide him onto the right path, so that both he and I could find peace. I did this for several days until I felt within myself that it was enough.

What was especially remarkable was that only a few days after I returned home, this same person sent me a message saying:

“Lidija, I am sorry. I do not want to burden you with these foolish things anymore. Let each of us go our own way; obviously, this is how it is meant to be.”

I was astonished, but what felt truly powerful was that, for the first time, I sensed genuine sincerity in his words and felt that true peace had finally arrived.

Now, five months have passed since that journey, and this person has not contacted me again. I feel peace in my heart and the blessings of Sai Baba.

Therefore, whenever you feel a strong inner calling connected to the Tradition, make the decision and go. Things will fall into place, just as they did for me. I had the right guidance on this journey, and that guidance came through Eni, because if I had needed to travel alone, I probably would never have gone.

I am deeply grateful to Mohanji and Sai Baba for helping me reach Scotland despite the heavy winter snow and all the obstacles along the way.

Let us bow to Sai Baba, and may peace prevail within all of us.
